The U.S. Global Change Research Program (USGCRP) has announced that the Fifth National Climate Assessment (NCA5) development process is officially underway. All members of the public are encouraged to review and comment on the first Federal Register Notice and the NCA5 Draft Prospectus, which was released on 10 July and will be available for comment until 10 August.

AASC works to support a society in which climate-sensitive decisions are guided by science-based information derived from historical and current observed climate and scenarios of future climate.
